Sumba enters the group of the Lesser Sunda Islands in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The largest city of the island is Waingapu, located on the east side. Sumba is about twice the size of Bali. The island has long been famous for its strong roots in traditional culture of megaliths, weaving, and horse riding. Moreover, all acts of life must be in line with ancient rules and customs of the Sumba people. Although various cities in Sumba have modernized, once you get out of those cities, the nuances abruptly change. The aura of tradition will capture you.
